Biography
Actor. Born Walter Bruce Willis, on March 19, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. The Willis family moved from a West German military base to the small town of Carneys Point, New Jersey, when Bruce was two years old. He grew up as the oldest of four children in a blue-collar family (his father, David, was a welder). As a teenager, he worked in a DuPont chemical plant. After graduating from high school, Willis attended Montclair (NJ) State College, where he first became interested in acting. He left college and moved to New York City in 1977, when he landed a bit part in an Off-Broadway play. In New York, he supported himself by working as a bartender in between small roles in stage productions.

Willis’ first break came in 1984, when he stepped in for another actor in the lead role in Sam Shepard’s Off-Broadway hit Fool for Love. His success led to an audition for Desperately Seeking Susan, an upcoming production starring Madonna. Willis didn’t get the role, but he stayed in Hollywood long enough to attend a casting call for a new television series called Moonlighting. Chosen from among 3,000 hopefuls to play the wisecracking private detective David Addison, Willis became a star overnight when Moonlighting became a hit. The chemistry between Willis and co-star Cybill Shepherd won over fans for four successful seasons (1985-89), and Willis won an Emmy in 1987 for Best Actor in a Television Series (Comedy or Musical).

In 1994, Willis emerged from this slump with two powerful supporting performances in relatively low-budget films—Quentin Tarantino’s gleefully violent Pulp Fiction (which also revived Travolta’s fading career) and Nobody’s Fool, starring Paul Newman. He also had a much-talked-about frontal nude scene in the psychological thriller Color of Night (1994). Unlike many of his fellow action heroes, Willis continued to mix riskier roles in smaller films with big-budget action films—meeting with varying results. He scored hits with two weird futuristic thrillers—Twelve Monkeys (1995), also featuring Brad Pitt, and The Fifth Element (1997)—while more traditional action films, like Last Man Standing (1996), The Jackal (1997), co-starring Richard Gere, and Mercury Rising (1998), did relatively mediocre business.

In 2000, Willis showed off his considerable comedic talent by starring as a hit man in the hit film The Whole Nine Yards, and guest starring on three episodes of the hit TV series Friends during the May sweeps.

Willis and his wife, the actress Demi Moore, announced their separation in July 1998, after more than 10 years of marriage. The couple, who married in November 1987 and appeared together in the 1991 film Mortal Thoughts, have three daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Belle. While Moore, an A-list Hollywood star in her own right, lives on their 18-acre ranch in Hailey, Idaho, Willis bought a home just five miles north of Hailey. The couple's divorce was finalized in the fall of 2000.

Biography
Wes Bentley was a relative newcomer to film when he starred in Sam Mendes' American Beauty (1999), but his haunting portrayal of the battered, enigmatic Ricky Fitts made him one of the most talked about young actors of the year. Dark, lanky, and possessing a pair of blue eyes of diamond-cutting intensity, Bentley beat out 20 young Hollywood actors for the role (according to Mendes), and his breakthrough performance was soon generating Oscar buzz. The actor originally hailed from Jonesboro, AR, where he was tormented by school bullies for being a 'pretty boy,' and he came to film via New York's Juilliard School, where he acted in a number of productions. While in New York, Bentley also sought other work, and an open casting call for Rent led to a casting director's request for him to do some reading for a small film. Prior to American Beauty, Bentley's film experience had been limited to roles in independent films such as Three Below Zero and Halfway to Pleasantville, and a small part in Jonathan Demme's Beloved. Following his acclaimed role in American Beauty, Bentley appeared in The White River Kid, in which he played the film's titular murderer.

Biography
A distinctly handsome leading man, Val Kilmer has been known as difficult to work with from a number of major directors. Trying valiantly to maintain a firm hold on his career, he has often turned down offers for big projects like Blue Velvet, Dirty Dancing, and Indecent Proposal for personal and artistic reasons. He began acting in high school with friend Kevin Spacey before going on to the Hollywood Professional School and eventually even Juilliard. He acted on the New York stage and in Shakespeare festivals before his film debut in 1984 as the rock idol Nick Rivers in the spy spoof Top Secret! Throughout the '80s, he played several hunky supporting roles, such as the older roommate in Real Genius and the cocky "Ice Man" in Top Gun. He had a leading role in Willow, where he met his wife, British actress Joanne Whalley; they both appeared in Kill Me Again a year later and had two children before splitting up in 1996. Kilmer's film breakthrough finally came in 1991, for his portrayal of rock icon Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's The Doors. As the notorious rocker, Kilmer provided his own singing voice for some of the songs on the soundtrack. He went on to play other American icons in his next two films: gunslinger Doc Holliday in Tombstone and the spirit of Elvis in True Romance. Due to his persistent questioning and commenting, the actor didn't get along very well with directors during this time in his career, particularly with Michael Apted for Thunderheart and Joel Schumacher for Batman Forever. Openly refusing to repeat the Bruce Wayne role, Kilmer broke his Batman contract and secured his own star status by appearing with both Robert De Niro and Al Pacino for the crime thriller Heat. This time around, he met with a more accommodating (or at least more tolerant) director, Michael Mann. Working with another acting veteran, he co-starred with Michael Douglas for the hunting adventure The Ghost and the Darkness. Unfortunately, his next few films were disappointments, particularly The Saint and The Island of Dr. Moreau. He switched gears a few times with little success, turning to romantic drama in At First Sight and to science fiction in Red Planet, but neither seemed to fit his dramatic intensity. He was especially ill-suited for the role as the drunken dad in Joe the King. After lending his booming voice to the role of Moses in the animated film The Prince of Egypt, he returned to form in The Salton Sea as a tormented drug addict. In 2003, he lined up quite a few projects, including the crime thriller Mindhunters and the drama Blind Horizon. In the same year he earned a starring role as another aggressive American icon, the legendary adult film star John Holmes, for the biographical drama Wonderland.

Birth Name : Usher Raymond IV
Profession : actor, musician
Date of Birth : October 14, 1978
Place of Birth : Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
Height : 5' 11'

Biography
Usher's rise to the top of the charts with three consecutive No. 1 singles ('You Make Me Wanna,' 'Nice & Slow,' 'My Way') might make him appear to be an overnight sensation. But the Chattanooga, Tennessee native, who moved to Atlanta when he was 12, grew up singing in church--his mother was the choir director. Usher received his big break when LaFace Records co-founder L.A. Reid saw the singer performing in a local talent show in 1993, the same year that he made his recording debut on the Poetic Justice soundtrack.

His single 'Call Me A Mack,' performed under the name Usher Raymond, featured the then 14-year-old establishing the sound that would eventually make him one of the hottest R&B male teen idols of the '90s. 'Call Me A Mack' did gain him some attention, but his 1994 self-titled album debut had a relatively short life span. Usher featured executive production from Sean 'Puffy' Combs and the noteworthy dance release 'Think Of You.'

Fortunately, executives at LaFace Records, owned by Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds and Reid, believed in Usher's talent and appeal. Three years after his debut, the singer returned with his sophomore release, My Way, sporting a new image, polished dance moves and excellent production from Jermaine Dupri. To date, the album is certified quadruple-platinum, which helped land him on Janet Jackson's The Velvet Rope Tour.

The young singer has appeared on numerous other projects as well: LaFace Family Christmas; 'You Will Know,' an all-star collaboration of male R&B singers; Monica's platinum debut Miss Thang; the soundtrack for the Shaquille O'Neal movie Kazaam; and the Soul Food soundtrack, among others. His notoriety has even landed him acting roles on Brandy's sitcom Moesha, the daytime soap opera The Bold And The Beautiful, and the teen horror flick The Faculty.

Tom Cruise Biography
Tom Cruise's boyish good-looks and contagious grin have yet to let audiences, or the box-office, down. A small part in "Endless Love" (1981) is the film debut that launched a career spanning two decades and is still going strong.

Told by some that he was too short, Tom didn't let skepticism sway him and went on to star in some of the top grossing films of the 80s. Classics of die-hard Cruise fans from that decade include "Risky Business" (1983), "Top Gun" (1986) and "The Color of Money" (1986).

The 90s didn't let Tom miss a beat and his charismatic charm graced feature films such as "Far and Away" (1992), "The Firm" (1993) and "Magnolia" (1999). His versatility and variety of roles continue to delight audiences into the 21st century.

Separation from long-term love, Nicole Kidman, shocked the world as Tom Cruise filed for divorce in February, 2001.

Additional Tom Cruise Biography
Thomas Cruise Mapother IV (born July 3, 1962), more commonly known as Tom Cruise, is an American actor and film producer. He is tied with Tom Hanks as the only actors to have seven consecutive US$100 million plus blockbusters on his résumé, and Forbes magazine ranked him as the world's most powerful celebrity in 2006. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards and won three Golden Globe Awards.

Cruise's next film was the 1985 fantasy film Legend directed by Ridley Scott. Cruise was then picked as the first choice by producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson for an upcoming American fighter pilot film. Cruise at first apparently turned down the project, but helped to alter the script he was given and developed the film. After being taken for a flight with the Blue Angels, Cruise changed his mind and signed on with the project. The project was titled Top Gun and opened in May 1986 becoming the highest grossing film of the year, taking in US$353,816,701 in worldwide figures. The Navy even used it as an ad for recruitment. He also starred in Martin Scorsese's The Color of Money along with Paul Newman that same year, which earned Paul a Best Actor academy award. In 1988 he starred in the light hearted drama Cocktail. The film received mixed reviews and Cruise was subsequently nominated for a Razzie award in 1989 . Later that year, Rain Man was released, which also starred Dustin Hoffman and was directed by Barry Levinson. The film was praised by critics and was nominated for eight Academy Awards, and won four, including Best Picture and Best Actor.

In 2000, Cruise returned as Ethan Hunt in the second installment of the Mission Impossible films, releasing Mission: Impossible II. The film was directed by Hong Kong director John Woo and branded with his Gun fu Style, but it continued the series' blockbuster success at the box office, taking in almost US$546 M in worldwide figures, like its predecessor, being the third highest grossing film of the year. The following year Cruise starred in the remake of the 1997 film Abre Los Ojos, Vanilla Sky. In 2002, Cruise starred in the dystopian science fiction thriller, Minority Report which was directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the science fiction short story by Philip Dick; as well as The Last Samurai.

According to an Associated Press report on November 2, 2006, Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner announced that they will be in charge of the United Artists film studio. Cruise will produce and star in films for United Artists, while Wagner will serve as UA's chief executive.

On April 18, 2006 Katie gave birth to a baby girl named Suri at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California. Cruise stated that the name derives from the Hebrew word for "princess" or the Persian word meaning red rose. (See also Sarah.) She is the first child for Holmes and third for Cruise, who (as previously mentioned) has two adopted children with Nicole Kidman.

Cruise has made several expressions of his feelings for Holmes to the media, most notably the "couch incident" which took place on the popular Oprah Winfrey Show of May 23, 2005. Cruise "jumped around the set, hopped onto a couch, fell rapturously to one knee and repeatedly professed his love for his new girlfriend." The phrase "jumping the couch," fashioned after "jumping the shark," is used to describe someone "going off the deep end" in public in a manner extreme enough to tarnish his or her reputation. It enjoyed a short-lived popularity, being chosen by the editors of the Historical Dictionary of American Slang as the "slang term of the year" in 2005 and by the nonprofit group Global Language Monitor as one of its top phrases for the year.

Dubbed "Closetgate" by the Los Angeles Times, the controversy continued as Comedy Central, the channel that broadcasts South Park in the U.S., pulled the "Trapped in the Closet" episode at the last minute from a scheduled repeat on March 15, 2006. It was alleged that Cruise threatened Paramount with withdrawal from promotion of his latest film Mission: Impossible III if the episode was broadcast. Viacom owns both Paramount and Comedy Central. Paramount and Cruise's representatives denied any threats. The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, claimed in a typically satirical response to be "servants of Xenu" and declared that the "million-year war for Earth" had only just begun. The Los Angeles Times reported that, "For Stone and Parker, Closetgate will be the gift that keeps on giving."

"Trapped in the Closet" was nominated for an Emmy, but did not win one, and was re-aired July 19, 2006 and afterwards. A reference to the episode was also made at the Emmy Awards. In the opening segment, host Conan O'Brien is trying to make his way to the awards show. However, he ends up in Stan's room (in animated form). A freaked out O'Brien runs into the closet, leading Stan to ask him to come out of the closet. O'Brien immediately runs out saying somebody else is in there. A moment later, an irritated Tom Cruise steps out and shuts the door.

Quincy Jones Biography
Quincy Delight Jones Jr. (born March 14, 1933) is an American music impresario, conductor, record producer, musical arranger, film composer and trumpeter.

During five decades in the entertainment industry, Jones has earned more than 25 Grammy Award nominations, more than 7 Grammy Awards, and a Grammy Legend Award in 1991. He is best known as the producer of two of the top-selling records of all time: the album Thriller, by pop icon Michael Jackson, which sold 104 million copies worldwide, and the charity song “We Are the World”.

Born on March 14, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, Jones is the eldest son of Quincy Delight Jones Sr. and Jones Sr.'s first wife, Sara. Jones is of Cherokee, West African and Welsh ancestry. Jones discovered music in grade school and took up the trumpet. When he was 10, his family moved to Bremerton, Washington; there he attended Garfield High School.

In 1951, Jones won a scholarship to the Schillinger House in Boston. However, he abandoned his studies when he received an offer to tour as a trumpeter with the legendary bandleader Lionel Hampton. While Jones was on the road with Hampton, he displayed an unusual gift for arranging songs. Jones relocated to New York City, where he received a number of freelance commissions arranging songs for artists like Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Gene Krupa, and his old friend Ray Charles.

In 1963 Jones helped discover singer Lesley Gore, and produced some of her biggest hits, including "It's My Party."

With Hollywood beckoning, Jones resigned from Mercury Records and moved to Los Angeles to compose film scores full time. Some of his most celebrated compositions were for the films Walk, Don't Run, In Cold Blood, The Slender Thread, In the Heat of the Night, Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, which featured Merrilee Rush performing a cover of the Burt Bacharach classic What The World Needs Now, Cactus Flower, The Getaway, The Italian Job, and The Color Purple. He also scored for television, including the shows "Roots" Ironside, Sanford and Son, and The Bill Cosby Show, as well as the theme music for The New Bill Cosby Show titled "Chump Change," which would later serve as the theme for the game show Now You See It.

In 1974, Jones suffered a cerebral aneurysm that almost claimed his life. He underwent two major brain surgeries and spent half a year convalescing. He was advised never to play trumpet again as it might disturb the settings left in his head by the procedure.

In 1994, Jones introduced Tamia to the music industry. "She is the best vocalist I've ever heard. She was so young but her voice was so matured that you'd swear she is old while she was still 18," Jones said of her.

In 1996, Jones collaborated with David Salzman to produce the concert extravaganza An American Reunion, a celebration of Bill Clinton's inauguration as president of the United States. In 1994, Salzman and Jones decided to form the company Quincy Jones/David Salzman Entertainment (QDE) with Time/Warner Inc.. QDE is a diverse company which produces media technology, motion pictures, television programs (In the House, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and MADtv, literary publications (Vibe and Spin magazines).

Jones first worked with Frank Sinatra when he was invited by Princess Grace to arrange a benefit at the Monaco Sporting Club in 1958.

He arranged Sinatra's second album with Count Basie, It Might as Well Be Swing (1964), and conducted and arranged 1966's Sinatra at the Sands.

In 2001, the Quincy Jones Listen Up Foundation built over 100 homes for Nelson Mandela's foundation in South Africa.

In 2004, Quincy Jones helped launch the We Are the Future (WAF) project, which gives children in poor and conflict-ridden areas a chance to live their childhoods and develop a sense of hope. The program is the result of a strategic partnership between the Glocal Forum, the Quincy Jones Listen Up Foundation and Mr. Hani Masri, with the support of the World Bank, UN agencies and major companies. The project was launched with a concert in Rome, Italy, in front of a half-million-person audience.

Jones supports a number of other charities including the NAACP, GLAAD, Peace Games and AmFAR. On July 26, 2007 he announced his endorsement of Hillary Clinton for president.

On September 19, 2005, Jones was honored at the Dance Music Hall of Fame ceremony when he was inducted for his many outstanding achievements as a producer.

Jones was a guest star on an episode of The Boondocks. In it, he and the main character Huey Freeman co-produced a Christmas play for his school.

South Korean popstar BoA, a popular artist in Japan, released a single called Quincy in 2004 that was a "soul disco" song in homage to his legacy. (The single made it to #4 on the Japanese Oricon Charts.)

In the sitcom Arrested Development, the character Starla claims to have had a relationship with Quincy Jones. In one of the episodes, she says that Quincy and her mother are the most important people in her life. Jones is frequently referred to in her lexicon; for example, when someone had a good idea, she says "Flashes of Quincy!"

Jones was mentioned on an episode of the HBO sitcom Flight of the Conchords as the brother of a would-be record-producing street hustler.

Jones never learned to drive, citing an accident in which he was a passenger (at age 14) as the reason.

Birth Name(s) : Owen Cunningham Wilson
Date of Birth: November 18, 1968

Profession: Actor

Owen Wilson Biography
Self-proclaimed troublemaker Owen Wilson grew up in Texas with his mother, Laura, a photographer; his father, an ad exec; and his brothers, Andrew Wilson (the eldest) and Luke (the youngest). Expelled from St. Mark's Academy in Dallas Texas in the tenth grade, Wilson finished his sophomore year at Thomas Jefferson School and then headed to a military academy in New Mexico. He then attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he met his future mentor and friend, Wes Anderson.

Anderson and Wilson wrote a screenplay - Bottle Rocket (1996) and sent it to their family friend screenwriter Kit Carson, who sent it to producer Polly Platt, who gave it to James L. Brooks, who gave the Texans $5 million dollars to make it into a feature film. Despite critical praise, 'Rocket' only grossed one million dollars.

After making the film, Wilson moved to Hollywood, setting up house with his two brothers and Anderson. Fairly quickly, Owen found himself acting in a series of big budget films that scraped the bottom of the critical barrel, such as the dreadful Cable Guy, The (1996), Haunting, The (1999), Anaconda (1997) and Breakfast of Champions (1999). This led to more work in slightly better fare, such as Shanghai Noon (2000), Meet the Parents (2000) and Behind Enemy Lines (2001). He's known not only for his nose, which has been broken several times, but also for his 'free wheeling ways' with a script. Recently he cowrote the film Royal Tenenbaums, The (2001) with his oft partner Wes Anderson. He has been romanticly linked with singer Sheryl Crow.

Additional Owen Wilson Biography
Owen Cunningham Wilson (born November 18, 1968) is an American actor and writer. Wilson was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the screenplay of The Royal Tenenbaums, but he is perhaps best known for his successful comedic roles such as John Beckwith in Wedding Crashers and as Hansel in Zoolander.

Wilson was born in Dallas, Texas, the son of Laura Wilson (née Cunningham), a photographer, and Robert Andrew Wilson, an advertising executive and operator of a public television station. He is left handed. His family is Irish American and Roman Catholic. While living in Dallas, Wilson attended The Lamplighter School, which he revisited in 2005; and St. Mark's School of Texas, when in the tenth grade after stealing his teacher's textbook in an attempt to help him finish his math homework quicker, he was expelled.

While Wilson found some initial success as a film actor after his turn as Dignan in Bottle Rocket, he also remained a key creative collaborator in Wes Anderson's next two directorial efforts. Rushmore was the two writers' second script collaboration. Although Wilson didn't appear in the film, he and Anderson acknowledged on the Criterion Collection DVD audio commentary that Wilson has a sort of quasi-cameo as Rosemary Cross's dead husband, Edward Appleby. When Max Fischer visits Miss Cross in Appleby's boyhood bedroom, photographs of a young Owen Wilson are incorporated in the set for the scene.

Wilson quickly landed roles in big-budget movies such as The Cable Guy, directed by Ben Stiller, an early admirer of Bottle Rocket. After minor appearances in action films like Anaconda, Armageddon and The Haunting, Wilson appeared in two dramatic roles: supporting actor in Permanent Midnight, which starred Stiller as a drug-addicted TV writer; and a role as a serial killer in The Minus Man.

Owen is considered a part of the Frat Pack, a group of actors including Steve Carell, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Vince Vaughn, and brother Luke Wilson.

Wilson got his big break with the 2000 comedy action hit Shanghai Noon, starring opposite Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan. The film grossed nearly US$100 million worldwide. His fame continued to rise after starring alongside Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell in the 2001 film Zoolander.

Gene Hackman took notice of Wilson's performance in Shanghai Noon and recommended Wilson to play opposite himself in the 2001 action film Behind Enemy Lines, Wilson's last dramatic starring role to date. Also in 2001, Wilson and Anderson collaborated on their third film, The Royal Tenenbaums, which was a financial and critical success. The comedy featured an all-star cast, including Gene Hackman, Ben Stiller, Bill Murray, Anjelica Huston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Danny Glover, Seymour Cassel and brother Luke. Owen Wilson had a memorable supporting role in the film as Eli Cash, a wigged-out, drug-addled bon vivant who becomes a literary celebrity. It earned the writing team an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay; Owen is the only "Frat Pack" member to receive an Academy Award nomination.

Wilson returned to the buddy comedy genre in 2002 with the action comedy I Spy, co-starring Eddie Murphy. This big-screen remake of the television series flopped at the box office. He then reunited with Chan to make Shanghai Knights (2003) and the movie remake of the television series Starsky & Hutch (2004). Due to his busy schedule as an actor and his ongoing sinus malady, Wilson was unable to collaborate on the script for Wes Anderson's fourth feature, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. The 2004 film was ultimately co-written by filmmaker Noah Baumbach. However, Wilson did star in the film as Bill Murray's would-be son, Ned Plimpton—a role written specifically for Wilson.

Wilson has appeared in eight movies with Stiller (a long-time friend) to date: The Cable Guy (1996), Permanent Midnight (1998), Meet the Parents (2000), Zoolander (2001), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), Starsky & Hutch (2004), Meet the Fockers (2004) and Night at the Museum (2006).

Wilson was previously linked with actress Demi Moore, singer Sheryl Crow and, most recently, with actress Kate Hudson. Their relationship ended in May 2007.

Wilson was taken to St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica on August 26, 2007 after a reported suicide attempt (actor slashed his wrists and reportedly took an overdose of pills ) at his Santa Monica home, confirmed by a Santa Monica Police Department log. Once stabilized at St. John's, Wilson was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where his condition was initially described as serious, then later upgraded to good and stable condition.

On October 4th 2007, Wilson made a public appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of The Darjeeling Limited.Wikiquote has a collection of quotations related to:Owen Wilson

Birth Name(s) : Kevin Spacey Fowler
Date of Birth: July 26, 1959

Profession: Actor

Kevin Spacey Biography
As enigmatic as he is talented, Kevin Spacey has always kept the details of his private life closely guarded. There are, however, certain biographical facts to be had--for starters, Kevin Spacey Fowler was the youngest of three children born to Thomas and Kathleen Fowler in South Orange, New Jersey. His mother was a personal secretary, his father a technical writer whose irregular job prospects led the family all over the country. They eventually settled in southern California, where young Kevin developed into quite a little hellion--after he set his sister's tree house on fire, he was shipped off to the Northridge Military Academy, only to be thrown out a few months later for pinging a classmate on the head with a tire. Spacey then found his way to Chatsworth High School in the San Fernando Valley, where he managed to channel his dramatic tendencies into a successful amateur acting career.

Spacey's film career began modestly, with a small part as a subway thief in Heartburn (1986). Deemed more of a "character actor" than a leading man, he stayed on the periphery in his next few films, but attracted attention for his turn as beady-eyed villain Mel Profitt on the TV series "Wiseguy" (1987). Profitt was the first in a long line of dark, manipulative characters that would eventually make Kevin Spacey a household name: he went on to play a sinister office manager in Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), a sadistic Hollywood exec in Swimming with Sharks (1994), and, most famously, creepy, smooth-talking eyewitness Verbal Kint in Usual Suspects, The (1995).

No longer relegated to offbeat supporting parts, Spacey seems poised to redefine himself as a Hollywood headliner. He says he's finished exploring the dark side--but, given his attraction to complex characters, that mischievous twinkle will never be too far from his eyes.

Additional Kevin Spacey Biography
Spacey was born Kevin Spacey Fowler in South Orange, New Jersey to Thomas Geoffrey Fowler, a technical writer, and Kathleen (née Spacey), a secretary; he has two older siblings: a sister and a brother, Randy. His father, who has been alleged by Fox News to have been a member of the American Nazi Party, was often unemployed, causing the family to move frequently, eventually settling in Southern California in 1963. Spacey attended Northridge Military Academy after he set his sister's treehouse on fire, but was asked to leave after throwing a tire at another student at the academy, and subsequently attended Chatsworth High School in Chatsworth, California. In the twelfth grade, he starred in the school's senior production of The Sound of Music, playing the part of Captain Georg von Trapp, opposite Maria (played by Mare Winningham). While in high school, he took his mother's maiden name, "Spacey" (originally a Welsh name, belonging to his great-great-grandfather, spelled "Spacy"), as his acting surname. Several reports have incorrectly suggested that he took the name in tribute to actor Spencer Tracy, combining Tracy's first and last names.

Some of Spacey's earlier roles include a widowed eccentric millionaire on L.A. Law, the made-for-television film The Murder of Mary Phagan (1988) opposite Jack Lemmon, and the Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder-starring comedy See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989). Spacey earned an avid fan following after playing the criminally insane arms dealer Mel Profitt on the television series Wiseguy. He quickly developed a reputation as a character actor, and was cast in bigger roles, including one-half of the bickering Connecticut couple in the dark comedy The Ref (1994), a malicious Hollywood studio boss in the satire Swimming with Sharks, and the put-upon office manager in the all-star ensemble film Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), gaining him positive notices by critics.

Spacey's next film role is as the MIT lecturer in the film "21", where he stars alongside Kate Bosworth, Laurence Fishburne, and Jim Sturgess. The film is based on Ben Mezrich's best seller, Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions, a story about student MIT card-counters who used mathematical probability to aid them in card games such as Black Jack. As of March, 2007, filming for "21" has taken place at The Castle on the Boston University campus, the MIT campus, and Boston's Chinatown.

Spacey is well-known in Hollywood for his skillful impersonations - when he appeared on Inside the Actors Studio he imitated, at the request of host James Lipton: Jimmy Stewart, Johnny Carson, Katharine Hepburn, Clint Eastwood, John Gielgud, Marlon Brando, Christopher Walken, Al Pacino and Jack Lemmon.

The 2006 season was a year of highs and lows for Spacey. He performed to good notices in the title role of Richard II (directed by Trevor Nunn), but suffered a humiliating failure with a production of "Resurrection Blues", a little-known Arthur Miller play, directed by film director Robert Altman. Despite an all-star Hollywood cast (including Neve Campbell and Matthew Modine) and the pedigree of Miller's script, Spacey's decision to lure Altman to the stage proved disastrous: after a fraught rehearsal period, the play opened to a critical panning, and closed only a few weeks into its run. Spacey resurrected his game later in the year, starring in Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten along with Colm Meaney and Eve Best. The play received excellent reviews for Spacey and Best, and was transferred to Broadway in 2007.

Spacey is a personal friend of former President Bill Clinton, having met Clinton before his presidency began. Spacey has described Clinton as "one of the shining lights" of the political process. According to Federal Election Commission data, Spacey has contributed $42,000 to Democratic candidates and committees. He additionally had a cameo appearance in President Clinton: Final Days, a light-hearted political satire produced by the Bill Clinton administration for the White House Correspondents Dinner.

In September 2006, Spacey announced that he intends to stay on at the Old Vic, for at least another nine years, and that due to his continuing UK residency he intends to take-up British citizenship when it becomes available to him.

Full Jackie Chan Biography
Jackie Chan is easily the biggest non-Hollywood movie star in the world. Closer to Buster Keaton than Bruce Lee, he has amused and entertained audiences world-wide with his amazing martial arts feats and quirky antics. His unusual fight props and traditional "thumbs up" bring his originality to any on-screen role. It is obvious Jackie prefers to do action films with strong humor streaks and intense physical clowning.

Additional Jackie Chan Biography
Jackie Chan SBS, (born April 7, 1954), also known as Sing Lung in Cantonese (traditional Chinese: 成龍; simplified Chinese: 成龙; pinyin: Chéng Lóng), born Chan Kong Sang (traditional Chinese: 陳港生; simplified Chinese: 陈港生; pinyin: Chén Gǎngshēng), is a Chinese actor, action choreographer, film director, producer, martial artist, screenwriter, singer and stunt performer.

At the age of 8, he appeared with some of his fellow "Little Fortunes", in the film Big and Little Wong Tin Bar (1962), with Li Li Hua playing his mother. Chan appeared with Li again the following year, in The Love Eterne (1963) and had a small role in King Hu's 1966 film, Come Drink with Me.

After an appearance as an extra in another King Hu film, A Touch of Zen, Chan began his adult career in the film industry. At the age of 17, he worked as a stuntman in the Bruce Lee films Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon under the stage name Chen Yuen Long. He received his first starring role later that year, in Little Tiger of Canton, which had a limited release in Hong Kong in 1973.

Chan's first major breakthrough was the 1978 film Snake in the Eagle's Shadow, shot while he was loaned to Seasonal Film Corporation under a two-picture deal. Under director Yuen Woo Ping, Chan was allowed complete freedom over his stunt work. The film established the comedic kung fu genre, and proved to be a breath of fresh air for the Hong Kong audience. Chan then starred in Drunken Master, which finally propelled him to mainstream success.

In 1988 Chan starred alongside Hung and Yuen for the last time to date, in the film Dragons Forever. Hung co-directed with Corey Yuen, and the villain in the film was Yuen Wah, both of whom were fellow graduates of the China Drama Academy.

Chan finally succeeded in establishing a foothold in the North American market in 1995 with a worldwide release of Rumble in the Bronx, attaining a cult following in the United States that was rare for Hong Kong movie stars. He then co-starred with Chris Tucker in the 1998 buddy cop action comedy Rush Hour, grossing US$130 million in the United States alone.

Despite further success with Shanghai Noon in 2000, Rush Hour 2 in 2001 and Shanghai Knights in 2003, Chan became frustrated with Hollywood over the limited range of roles and lack of control over the film-making process. In response to Golden Harvest's withdrawal from the film industry in 2003, Chan started his own film production company, JCE Movies Limited (Jackie Chan Emperor Movies Limted) in association with Emperor Multimedia Group (EMG). His films have since featured an increasing number of dramatic scenes while continuing to succeed at the box office; examples include New Police Story (2004), The Myth (2005) and Rob-B-Hood (2006).

Chan's most recent release was Rush Hour 3 in August 2007, which performed well at the U.S. box office, grossing over US$100 million. However, it performed poorly in Hong Kong, grossing only HK$3.5 million during its opening weekend. The filming of The Forbidden Kingdom, Chan's first onscreen collaboration with fellow Chinese actor Jet Li, was completed on August 24, 2007 and the film is now in post-production. In November 2007, Chan will begin filming Shinjuku Incident with director Derek Yee, which sees Chan take on the role of a Chinese immigrant in Japan. According to his blog, Chan wishes to direct a film after completing Shinjuku Incident, something he has not done for a number of years. The film is expected to be the third in the Armour of God series, and has a working title of Armour of God III: Chinese Zodiac.

Jackie Chan performs most of his own stunts, which are choreographed by the Jackie Chan Stunt Team. Since the team's establishment in 1983, Chan has used it in all his subsequent films to make choreographing easier, given his understanding of each member's abilities. Chan and his team undertake many of the stunts performed by other characters in his films, shooting the scenes such that their faces are obscured.

The dangerous nature of his stunts makes it difficult for Chan to get insurance, especially in the United States, where his stunt work is contractually limited. Chan holds the Guinness World Record for "Most Stunts By A Living Actor", which emphasises "no insurance company will underwrite Chan's productions, in which he performs all his own stunts". In addition, he holds an unrecognised record for the most number of takes for a single shot in a film, having shot over 2900 retakes for a complex scene involving a badminton game in Dragon Lord.

Despite considerable box office success in Hollywood, Chan's American films have been criticised with respect to the action choreography. Reviewers of Rush Hour 2, The Tuxedo, and Shanghai Knights criticised the toning down of Chan's fighting scenes, citing less intensity compared to his earlier films. The comedic value of his films is questioned, some critics stated it can be childish at times.

Additional Ian McKellen Biography
In 2006, Sir Ian became a Patron of Oxford Pride. At the time he said "I have been to many Pride occasions across the World, from being Grand Marshall in San Francisco to the first ever gay march in Johannesburg in post-apartheid South Africa. Wherever gay people gather publicly to celebrate their sense of community, there are two important results. First, onlookers can be impressed by our confidence and determination to be ourselves and, second, gay people, of whatever age, can be comforted by the occasion to take first steps towards coming out and leaving the closet forever behind. I send my love to all member of Oxford Pride, their sponsors and supporters, of which I am proud to be one."

Ian McKellen Quote(s)
I've had enough of being a gay icon! I've had enough of all this hard work, because, since I came out, I keep getting all these parts, and my career's taken off. I want a quiet life. I'm going back into the closet. But I can't get back into the closet, because it's absolutely jam-packed full of other actors.

Hulk Hogan Biography
One of the greatest, most popular, most hated and charismatic wrestler of all time, Hulk Hogan is one of the men who helped parlay the circus-like world of professional wrestling from cult following into the forefront of American entertainment. What many people who know about Hogan don't know is he was in the "sport" for several years in virtual obscurity before hitting the big time. Hogan made his pro debut in 1978 and wrestled as "Sterling Golden" before becoming "Hulk." Hogan was getting main event matches while wrestling in the American Wrestling Alliance (AWA) in the early 1980s before he was cast as Thunderlips in Rocky III. That bit of casting propelled Hogan into the spotlight and he was soon to enter the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1983.

At the time, the WWF was just beginning to go from local television (they were based in the Northeast U.S.) to national and Hogan's personality (and some well-done marketing and PR, plus the Wrestlemania series) helped to transform not only the WWF, but wrestling into the big show it is today. Hogan won the WWF title numerous times, and was credited with dealing Andre the Giant his first loss in pro wrestling. Hogan was soon seen everywhere, television, cartoons, movies, records and lunch boxes, but he was a part of the steroid scandel in the WWF, and quietly left the organization.

Hogan layed low in wrestling circles, but continued to act before coming back, this time with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) the WWF's bitter rival. Hogan helped create the New World Order, the main bunch of badmen in the WCW and became more popular than ever. He even abandoned his trademark Red/Yellow colors for Black, and dyed his beard black. He still wrestles as of today, and like it or not is probably one of the best entertainers in any form of show business. He always put on a show.

Additional Hulk Hogan Biography
Terrence Gene Bollea (born August 11, 1953), better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, is an American actor, professional wrestler, and former rock bassist. He currently stars on the VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best and will be the new host of American Gladiators in 2008 on NBC.

Hogan entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, and is officially a twelve-time world champion: a six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and a six-time WWE Champion. He was also the winner of the 1990 and 1991 Royal Rumble matches.

A great deal of Hogan's early success was achieved in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Japanese wrestling fans were in awe of the gargantuan blond American, and nicknamed him "Ichiban" (which translates to "Number One"). Hogan first appeared in Japan on May 13, 1980, while he was still with the WWF. He toured the country from time to time over the next few years, facing a wide variety of opponents ranging from Tatsumi Fujinami to Abdullah the Butcher. When competing in Japan, Hogan used a vastly different repertoire of wrestling moves, relying on more technical, traditional wrestling holds and maneuvers as opposed to the power-based, brawling style U.S. fans became accustomed to seeing from him. He also periodically left his feet while performing moves, like armbar takedowns and the enzuigiri. Another difference is that Hogan used a running forearm lariat (called the "Axe Bomber") as his finisher in Japan, as opposed to the running leg drop that has been his traditional finisher in America.

During a handicap tag team match at Bash at the Beach, Hulk Hogan interfered on behalf of The Outsiders, attacking babyface Randy Savage. This action caused Hogan to turn heel for the first time in over ten years. After the match, Hogan delivered a now-infamous promo, accosting the fans and WCW for underappreciating his talent and drawing power. This culminated with Hogan's announcement of the formation of a "New World Order."

On August 9, 1999, he started the night dressed in the typical black and white, but after a backstage scene with his son, Hogan came out dressed in the traditional red and yellow for his main-event 6-man tag team match. Injuries and frustrations were mounting up however, and he was absent from television from October 1999 to February 2000. In his book Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Bollea said that he was asked to take time off by newly hired head of creative booker Vince Russo and was not told when he would be brought back at the time. Despite some reservations, he agreed to do so. On October 24 at Halloween Havoc, Hogan was to face Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship (which he had lost to Sting at Fall Brawl the previous month, when Sting beat Hogan by cheating and had turned heel in the process). However, Hogan came to the ring in street clothes, laid down for the pin, and left the ring.

Whether or not the whole incident was a shoot or a work is still a hot debate. As a result, Hogan filed a defamation of character lawsuit against Russo soon after, which was eventually dismissed in 2002. Russo claims the whole thing was a work, and Hogan claims that Russo made it a shoot. Hogan's assumption was that since WCW could no longer afford to pay Hogan for any more pay-per-view appearances, Hogan was never called back and kept off WCW television. Bischoff contends that Hogan winning and leaving with the title was a work, claiming that he and Hogan celebrated after the event over the success of the angle, but that Russo coming out to fire Hogan was an unplanned shoot which led to the lawsuit filed by Hogan.

In the months following the eventual demise of WCW in March 2001, Hogan underwent surgery on his knees in order for him to wrestle again. As a test, Hogan worked a match in Orlando, Florida for the XWF promotion run by his longtime handler Jimmy Hart. Hogan defeated Curt Hennig in this match and felt healthy enough to accept an offer to return to the WWF in February 2002.

Hulk Hogan's Pastamania was a restaurant in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. It was created and financed by Hogan. It opened on the Labor Day weekend of 1995 and was later heavily hyped on World Championship Wrestling's live flagship show WCW Monday Nitro, which actually premiered that September from the mall. The restaurant, which remained in operation for less than a year, featured such dishes as "Hulk-U's" and "Hulk-A-Roos."

In an interview on the Tonight Show, Hogan claimed that the George Foreman grill was originally offered to him, but he failed to respond in time, thus allowing Foreman to use his endorsement. This was backed up by an episode of Hogan Knows Best, in which his wife Linda and the family are worried about Hogan's wrestling career and plead with him to take up a career in marketing. Hulk explains about turning down the Foreman grill, and his choice to invest in a shake-mixer instead, saying that whenever he thinks about investing in something "big", he thinks about what happened with the grill and the shake-mixer. However, he has since endorsed a similar product known as "The Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill". He also has an energy drink, Hogan Energy, distributed by Socko Energy. It was featured in an episode of Hogan Knows Best.

Franz Ferdinand Biography
Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria-Este (December 18, 1863 – June 28, 1914) was an Archduke of Austria, Prince Imperial of Austria, Prince Royal of Hungary and Bohemia, and from 1896 until his death, heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne. His assassination in Sarajevo precipitated the Austrian declaration of war. This caused countries allied with Austria-Hungary (the Central Powers) and countries allied with Serbia (the Entente Powers) to declare war on each other, starting World War I.

Franz Ferdinand (Full Name: Franz Ferdinand Karl Ludwig Josef von Habsburg-Lothringen), was born in Graz, Austria, the eldest son of Archduke Karl Ludwig of Austria (younger brother of Emperor Franz Joseph and Maximilian I of Mexico) and of his second wife, Princess Maria Annunciata of the Two Sicilies. When he was only twelve years old, his cousin Duke Francis V of Modena died, naming Franz Ferdinand his heir on condition that he add the name Este to his own. Franz Ferdinand thus became one of the wealthiest men in Austria.

In 1889, Franz Ferdinand's life changed dramatically. His cousin Crown Prince Rudolf committed suicide at his hunting lodge in Mayerling, leaving Franz Ferdinand's father, Archduke Karl Ludwig, as first in line to the throne. Henceforth, Franz Ferdinand was groomed to succeed.

In 1895 Franz Ferdinand met Countess Sophie Chotek at a ball in Prague. To be an eligible marriage partner for a member of the House of Habsburg, one must be a member of one of the reigning or formerly reigning dynasties of Europe. The Choteks were not one of these families, although they did include among their ancestors, in the female line, princes of Baden, Hohenzollern-Hechingen, and Liechtenstein. Sophie was a lady-in-waiting to Archduchess Isabella, wife of Archduke Friedrich, Duke of Teschen. Franz Ferdinand began to visit Archduke Friedrich's villa in Pressburg (now Bratislava). Sophie wrote to Franz Ferdinand during his convalescence from tuberculosis when he went to the island of Lošinj in the Adriatic. They kept their relationship a secret for more than two years.

On June 28, 1914, at approximately 11:00 am, Franz Ferdinand and his wife were killed in Sarajevo, the capital of the Austro-Hungarian province of Bosnia and Herzegovina, by Gavrilo Princip, a member of Young Bosnia and one of several (seven) assassins organized by The Black Hand (Црна рука/Tsrna Ruka). The event, known as the Assassination in Sarajevo, was the trigger of World War I. Franz and Sophie had previously been attacked when a bomb was thrown at their car. It missed them, but many civilians were injured. Franz Ferdinand and Sophie both insisted on going to see all those injured at the hospital. As a result of this, Princip saw them and shot Sophie, who died instantly. Franz Ferdinand was shot in the jugular and was still alive when witnesses arrived to his aid. The famous Browning .32 ACP light round was to blame. His aids tried to undo his coat but by the time they realized they needed a scissors to cut the coat open, since Ferdinand had himself sewn in so he would not look so over weight, it was too late - he died within minutes of being shot. The assassinations, along with the arms race, nationalism and the alliance system all contributed to the beginning of World War I, which began less than two months after Franz Ferdinand's death, with Austria-Hungary's declaration of war against Serbia.

...one bullet pierced Franz Ferdinand's neck while the other pierced Sophie's abdomen.....As the car was reversing (to go back to the Governor's residence because the entourage thought the Imperial couple were unhurt) a thin streak of blood shot from the Archduke's mouth onto Count Harrach's right cheek (he was standing on the car's running board). Harrach drew out a handkerchief to still the gushing blood. The Duchess, seeing this, called: "For Heaven's sake! What happened to you?" and sank from her seat, her face falling between her husband's knees.

Harrach and Potoriek...thought she had fainted...only her husband seemed to have an instinct for what was happening. Turning to his wife despite the bullet in his neck, Franz Ferdinand pleaded: " Sopherl! Sopherl! Sterbe nicht! Bleibe am Leben fur unsere Kinder! - Sophie dear! Don't die! Stay alive for our children!" Having said this, he seemed to sag down himself. His plumed hat...fell off; many of its green feathers were found all over the car floor. Count Harrach seized the Archduke by the uniform collar to hold him up. He asked "Leiden Eure Kaiserliche Hoheit sehr? - Is Your Imperial Highness suffering very badly?" "Es ist nichts - It is nothing" said the Archduke in a weak but audible voice. He seemed to be losing consciousness, but, his voice growing steadily weaker, he repeated the phrase perhaps six or seven times more.

A rattle began to issue from his throat, which subsided as the car drew in front of the Konak (Town Hall). (Despite several doctors' efforts, the Archduke died shortly after being carried into the building while his beloved wife was almost certainly dead from internal bleeding before the motorcade reached the Konak.) - Les Gillard

Eddie Murphy Biography
By the time he was 19, this quick-witted, sharp-tongued black comedian had achieved stardom as the standout cast member on "Saturday Night Live" (1981-84). Having distinguished himself in TV and nightclubs (where he'd done stand-up comedy since age 16), Murphy's next step was motion pictures. His first break came when a last-minute change of plans caused producers to offer him a costarring part with Nick Nolte in 48HRS (1982). A hastily rewritten script drew on his already familiar smartass personality from television and proved a perfect showcase. He had more of a chance to act in Trading Places (1983), opposite Dan Aykroyd, which confirmed that the earlier film had been no fluke: Murphy was a bona fide movie star. After an overpromoted cameo in the dismal Best Defense (1984), the comedian hit pay dirt with his first solo starring vehicle, Beverly Hills Cop (1984), which originally had been written for Sylvester Stallone.

Additional Eddie Murphy Biography
Edward "Eddie" Regan Murphy (born April 3, 1961) is an Academy Award nominated, Golden Globe Award-winning American actor and comedian. He was a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1980 to 1984, and has worked as a stand-up comedian. He has also enjoyed a minor singing career.

The following year, Murphy co-starred with fellow alumnus Dan Aykroyd in Trading Places. The movie marked the first of Murphy's collaborations with director John Landis (who also directed Murphy in Coming to America and Beverly Hills Cop III) and proved to be an even greater box office success than 48 Hrs. In 1984, Murphy starred in the successful Beverly Hills Cop movie. The film was Murphy's first full-fledged starring vehicle, originally intended to star Sylvester Stallone. Beverly Hills Cop grossed over $200 million at the box office and when adjusted for inflation, remained in the top 40 highest-grossing movies of all time as of 2005.

Also in 1984, Murphy appeared in Best Defense, co-starring Dudley Moore. Murphy, who was credited as a "Strategic Guest Star", was added to the film after an original version was completed but tested poorly with audiences. Best Defense was a major financial and critical disappointment. When he hosted SNL, Murphy joined the chorus of those bashing Best Defense, calling it "the worst movie in the history of everything". Murphy has also been rumored to be initially a part of hits such as Ghostbusters (featuring his Trading Places co-star Dan Aykroyd and fellow SNL alumnus Bill Murray). The part that was originally written with Murphy in mind ultimately went to Ernie Hudson. Murphy was also offered a part in 1986's Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, a role that, after being heavily re-written from comic relief to love interest, ultimately went to future 7th Heaven star Catherine Hicks. By this point Murphy's near-exclusive contract with Paramount Pictures rivaled Star Trek as Paramount's most lucrative franchise.

Although uncredited, Murphy provided vocal work on SNL castmate Joe Piscopo's comedy single, "The Honeymooners Rap." Piscopo impersonated Jackie Gleason on the single, while Murphy provided an imitation of Art Carney.

In 1985, King Broder claimed Murphy had signed an "indefinite contract" with him when Murphy was 19 and sued him for $30 million for breach of contract when Murphy was worth an estimated $50 million dollars. Broder even claimed Murphy got his 'Buckwheat' character from an idea he had for 'The Identical Triplets.' In court papers filed in State Supreme Court in Mineola, New York, Murphy said he and Broder had verbally agreed to dissolve the relationship before the end of 1980. Murphy stated, at the time, " was working as a shoe salesman and had very limited professional experience when signed the agreement." He also charged that Broder misrepresented himself as the agent for singers Tina Turner, Neil Sedaka and comedian Andy Kaufman. As Murphy was in the process of filming Beverly Hills Cop II at the time of the suit, Paramount Pictures ended up settling the case out of court and paying Broder an undisclosed amount so that they would not lose any more money in production costs.

According to Murphy's childhood friend Harris Haith in his book, Growing Up Laughing With Eddie,“Long before Murphy did any writing for Coming to America, Art Buchwald had approached Paramount Pictures with the idea for a similar film. His material was rejected, but the information was retained by Paramount. They liked Buchwald's idea but did not see fit to pay him and saved it for use later down the road. Some years later, Paramount presented the idea of Coming to America to Eddie and gave him the contract. Murphy wrote a screenplay that came to light exactly as it aired on the silver screen. In 1988, Buchwald sued Murphy and Paramount Pictures, but Murphy was not found liable because Paramount had received the material and plagiarized it before giving it to Eddie. He did not know the origins of the piece, he just took the idea and expounded on it to bring about the final version of the movie.”

Murphy's box office results began to recover in 1996, starting with The Nutty Professor. He followed with a series of successful family-friendly movies (Mulan, Life, Dr. Dolittle and its sequel, the Shrek series, Daddy Day Care, and The Haunted Mansion), along with Nutty Professor II, which some attribute to his real-life role as a family man. However, most of his movies meant for more adult audiences performed moderately- Metro, I Spy, and Showtime all ended to gross less than $40 million domestically, Holy Man performed badly grossing less than $13 million, and The Adventures of Pluto Nash is on record as one of the biggest theatrical money-losers of all time, grossing just $7 million worldwide on a reported $110 million budget.

Murphy is expected to begin work on Beverly Hills Cop IV sometime in the near future, and it is expected that producer Jerry Bruckheimer will not participate in the fourth installment of the series. Murphy recently told the Sun Online that “the new script is looking good.”

Eddie Murphy Quote(s)
Every bad decision I've made has been based on money. I grew up in the projects and you don't turn down money there. You take it, because you never know when it's all going to end. I made Cop III because they offered me $15 million. That $15 million was worth having Roger Ebert's thumb up my ass.

David James Elliott Biography
David James Elliott was born on September 21, 1960, in Milton (a small suburb city of Toronto), Ontario, Canada. He is the second of three sons of Arnold Smith, a heating and plumbing wholesaler-contractor, and his wife, Pat, an office manager. Arnold Smith had come to Canada from the Bahamas. David Smith grew up in Milton, but spent much time in the Bahamas, as most of his relatives live there.

Mr. Elliott did not set out to be an actor. His early interest was in music - rock 'n roll music. He was front man for a band, and even briefly quit high school to play with the band full time. The band left Milton and went to the big city -Toronto. There the band members got questionable digs in boarding houses and played gigs at night, while trying to earn a pittance to live on during the day. Mr. Elliott at one point was working in a belt factory.

The group, which went by various names - the Supervisors being one (one of the band stole some T-shirts with the title "Supervisor" on them) - kept breaking up. Finally, Mr. Elliott decided that enough was enough, and went back to finish high school. He was only 19.

His theatre history class was studying King Lear, and he read the part of Lear. His teacher was impressed by his reading and encouraged him to consider acting as a career. He knew nothing about acting, in fact had never even seen a live play, let alone been in one. His brother told him that Ryerson Polytechnic Institute in Toronto had the best acting school in Canada, so he decided to audition there. He cribbed for the audition by reading a book on auditioning.

At the audition, he "forgot his classical piece, ... sang 'Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah' and .... faked .... through a scene from Sam Shepard." To finish, he started inventing dialogue. As Mr. Elliott recounts it, "... they saw some talent they could nurture. It was a miracle."

Prior to his graduation from Ryerson, Mr. Elliott auditioned for the world-renowned Stratford Shakespearean Festival in Stratford, Ontario. He was accepted as a member of its Young Company. He stayed at Stratford for two years, learning the advanced acting skills needed for classical theatre, and earned the Jean Chalmers Award as Most Promising Actor.

After Stratford he played the role of Dick the Male Stripper in B Movie: The Play, in Toronto. There he was seen by one of the producers of CBC's Street Legal - a night-time soap opera about lawyers. They were looking for a "young hunk" as a love interest for the lead female lawyer. Mr. Elliott was asked to audition for the role of Nick Del Gado, the Toronto police detective. He was, to them, untried talent, and therefore scary, but his screen test was the best, and they decided to take a chance on him. The lead actress, Sonja Smits, described him thus: "He wasn't developed at all when he arrived ... but he was very tall and very charming."

Street Legal proved to be a breakthrough for Mr. Elliott. The producers kept giving him more to do, and he kept improving, so that by 1988-89, he was a legitimate co-star in the series, and became somewhat of a household name in Canada (named Flare magazine's Bachelor of the Year). There was talk of a Street Legal spinoff, with him in the lead role of Nick Del Gado, private eye. But before that came to pass, he decided to give Hollywood a try.

So in 1990, with the offer of a development deal from Disney, Mr. Elliott moved to Los Angeles. But first, in order to join the Screen Actors Guild, he had to change his screen name, as another actor was already registered as 'David Elliott'. So he added the 'James' - David James Elliott.

The development deal with Disney fell through when the head honchos decided that he was too young for the part they had crafted for him. Mr. Elliott found other work, doing a short-lived Canadian-French television series with Shannon Tweed, Fly By Night, and guest appearances on various television series. However, this period was fraught with difficulties, and he went through some lean times as he struggled to make his way in Hollywood.

Christopher Jones Biography
Christopher Jones was a brief cult star of the late 60s counterculture era and a would-be successor to James Dean, had he wanted it. Born amid impoverished surroundings to a grocery clerk in Jackson, Tennessee in 1961, his artist mother had to be institutionalized when Chris was 4. She died in a mental facility in 1960 and this was always to haunt him.

Little was heard of Chris until decades later when Quentin Tarantino offered him a part in Pulp Fiction (1994). The reclusive, eccentric Jones refused the role, but this was not the case with a lower profile role in Mad Dog Time (1996) a couple of years later. Whether this is a comeback or not has yet to be determined.

Bon Jovi Biography
They have also won a Grammy for best Country Collaboration for "Who Says You Can't Go Home" with Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland. They have also been nominated twice for the smash hit "It's My Life" and two songs from the album Bounce, "Misunderstood" and "Everyday".

David Bryan was a natural recruit. He had quit the band he and Bon Jovi founded in order to study medicine. While in college, he realized he wanted to pursue music full-time and was accepted to Juilliard School, the prestigious New York music school. When Bon Jovi called his friend and said he was putting together a band and a record deal looked like it was about to become a reality, Bryan followed Bon Jovi's lead and gave up his studies.

"During the recording of the record we frequently wound up in a striptease club where incredibly good looking girls were putting water and soap on each other. They became so slippery because of that, that you couldn't hold on to them even if you wanted to really bad. 'Slippery when wet!' one of us yelled out and the rest of us immediately knew: that had to be the title of the new album! Originally we were going to put a picture of some huge breasts, the really big ones, on the cover; but when the PMRC found out, we were in big trouble. So we made it into a very decent cover."

His bandmates kept busy as well. Sambora, with the help of Tico Torres and David Bryan, also released a solo album entitled Stranger In This Town, in 1991. The album had a predominant blues influence to it and featured Eric Clapton on the song "Mr. Bluesman". David Bryan recorded a soundtrack for the horror movie The Netherworld, which was the brighter part of that year after he was hospitalized with an illness due to a South American parasite. Such took a fall off of his motorcycle which injured his bass-playing hand, forcing him to develop a whole new way to hold and play his instrument.

By 1996, Bon Jovi had established themselves as a "force" in the music industry, proving much more durable than most of their '80s glam peers. At the end of the These Days Tour, the band once again decided to take a break and pursue other interests. Tico used the opportunity further pursue his passion for painting while David started writing and composing various musicals. In 1998, Richie released his second solo outing called Undiscovered Soul.

The Crush Tour, which began that summer, originally encompassed only 60 or so shows and was extended due to Bon Jovi's newfound popularity, with the band remaining on tour through mid-2001. While on tour, Bon Jovi released a collection of live performances from throughout their career in an album entitled, One Wild Night: Live 1985-2001. The Crush tour was notable in that the European 2000 leg included the band headlining two nights at Wembley Stadium. These would be the final shows at the venue before it was demolished. Shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the band performed as part of the star-studded The Concert for New York City benefit for victims and their families. They performed an acoustic medley of "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive" with a stirring finale of "It's My Life".

The following year the band released a box set entitled 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong, the title being an homage to Elvis Presley's 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong. The set consisted of four CDs packed with 38 unreleased and 12 rare tracks, as well as a DVD. The box set marked the sales of 100 million Bon Jovi albums and also commemorated the 20th anniversary of the release of the band's first record in 1984.

In November 2004, Bon Jovi was honored with the Award for Merit at the American Music Awards, where they performed a sneak preview of an unfinished song, "Have a Nice Day". Bon Jovi also participated in Live 8 on July 2, 2005, where they debuted the full, final version of "Have a Nice Day", alongside the classics, "Livin' on a Prayer" and "It's My Life". On August 20, 2005, the band headlined Miller Brewing Co.'s Big Brew-Ha, celebrating its 150th anniversary. The free stadium concert at Miller Park in Milwaukee included one preview song from the band's forthcoming album.

On November 14, 2006, Bon Jovi were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame alongside James Brown and Led Zeppelin, joining music legends such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, U2, Madonna and Elvis Presley. They will not be eligible for the U.S. equivalent until 2009.

Aaron Eckhart Biography
A handsome blonde performer capable of transforming himself as the role requires, Aaron Eckhart first caught moviegoers' attention in his film debut as the unctuous businessman Chad in college classmate Neil LaBute's wicked black comedy "In the Company of Men" (1997). Playing off his chiseled good looks, the California native etched a memorably villainous character, one minute seductive and charming, the next sadistic and cruel. In Eckhart's skillful portrayal, Chad emerged as a fully-rounded, if deeply flawed, human being. Eckhart spent part of his formative years living in England, and, after dropping out of high school, in Sydney, Australia. Eventually earning his high school equivalency, he enrolled at Brigham Young University where he met future collaborator LaBute. Following graduation, Eckhart joined the ranks of unemployed actors in Manhattan until he enjoyed a taste of success with a beer commercial that cast him as a construction worker. Returning to California, he began landing small roles, including a turn as Samson in the 1993 CBS special, "Ancient Secrets of the Bible, Part II". After his star-making turn in "In the Company of Men", the actor was offered an opportunity to demonstrate his astonishing range and versatility in LaBute's "Your Friends and Neighbors" (1998). Cast as an overweight, impotent and unhappily married man, Eckhart was virtually unrecognizable.
Eckhart finally landed a more conventional role playing the title character's overprotective brother in "Molly" (1999). All that was a warm-up, though, for his turn as the pony-tailed biker who eventually wins the heart of Julia Roberts' "Erin Brockovich" (2000). In what amounted to his first full-blown romantic role, Eckhart exhibited an affable, easygoing nature and magnetic screen charisma. Reuniting with LaBute, he switched gears and returned to the sleazy side as a used-car salesman who neglects his sweet-natured spouse in "Nurse Betty" (also 2000). Sean Penn then tapped Eckhart to play a young detective partnered with a grizzled veteran on the verge of retirement in "The Pledge" (2001) before the actor once again played De Niro to LaBute's Scorsese in "Possession" (2002). In the latter, he was cast opposite Gwyneth Paltrow as an academic attempting to reconstruct the relationship between two Victorian-era authors. Eckhart then protrayed a geophysicist who, along with Hilary Swank and Bruce Greenwood, set off to detonate a nuclear device and save the world from destruction in the sci-fi thriller feature "The Core" (2003).

Additional Aaron Eckhart Biography
Eckhart, who has two brothers, was born in Cupertino, California, to a children's book author and poet mother and a computer executive father. He had a Latter Day Saint upbringing. As a teenager, he lived with his family in England and Sydney, Australia. He took three years off after high school to surf in Hawaii and to serve a mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in France and Switzerland. He enrolled as a film major at Brigham Young University, graduating in 1994. Eckhart was engaged to actress Emily Cline, but separated from her in 1998. He bought a motorcycle after learning to ride one for Erin Brockovich (2000).

During his time at Brigham Young University, Eckhart appeared in the Mormon-themed film "Godly Sorrow". He was nominated for the Golden Globe of Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his role in Thank You for Smoking.

His next role is that of District Attorney Harvey Dent in the sequel to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, due in 2008.
